The Viglienzone Adriatica Control Department is a type-“A” inspection body certified for inspection activities particularly for the inspection of agri-food products and their by-products in compliance with  EC directives, with national and international regulations and/or with the specifications of customers in Europe. We are also certified for inspections activities related to vehicles, machineries, equipment and accessories including Commodity aid and/or other aids in accordance to specifications of clients on behalf of national and internationally recognized organizations.

Above-mentioned inspection activity performed in compliance with  UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020 standards for the operation of inspection bodies and of the relevant Guida ILAC-P15:07/2016 “Application of ISO/IEC 17020:2012 for the Accreditation of Inspection Bodies" has been accredited by ACCREDIA with Certificate n.031E since 2021.

Inspection activities covered by this certification are described in the Quality Handbook MDQ03 and are regulated by the General Regulations for inspection activities Regulations

Viglienzone Adriatica has gained the AEO authorization (authorized economic operator) which certifies the company degree of reliability towards the customs authorities and whose main benefits can be summarized in an easier access to authorizations, simplifications and in a reduced level of customs controls.

Viglienzone Adriatica has been accredited as third party Inspection Company by GASC (General Authority for Supply Commodities) Egypt. 

Viglienzone  is  accredited as third party Inspection ]Company by GOEIC (General Organization For Export & Import Control) of Ministry of Trade & Industry Egypt. 

Viglienzone is accredited as  third party Inspection Company by FIHC (Food Industries Holding Company) Egypt


Viglienzone Adriatica is also recognised by the Italian Ministry of Finance as a company specialized on international scale in the control and supervision for the release of certificates proving the discharge and /or import of agri-food products with benefit of refunds for export in third countries, in conformity with art. 17, par 1, letter b) and par 2, letter c) of EC Reg. 612/2009 dated 07/07/2009.

On 25/05/2012 said recognition has been renewed with provision 8/2012 of Customs Agency ( (S.A.I.S.A) and, in order to  obtain such renewal, Viglienzone Adriatica was found in conformity with the points laid out in  Standard rule UNI CEI EN 45011:1999 as requested by Art .18 of EC Reg. n.612/2009 and Annex VIII stating common detailed rules for the application of the export refunds system for agricultural products.

In this concern, Viglienzone Adriatica has defined the management of inspection activities with regards to the control for export refunds on agricultural products in Quality Handbook MDQ02

With regards to rail logistics, Viglienzone, in the quality of operator/international carrier for rail transport, to ensure quality standards in the provision of the various services has achieved compliance to GMP+FSA scheme

The standard GMP+FSA is a scheme which assures food safety in all the links of the food chain which serves to ensure quality standards in the provision of the various services and can be applied upon request of its customers. 


Since 1987 Viglienzone Adriatica has been recognized by the European Union as ‘Official Monitor', i.e. coordinator of planned actions for food and other aids, both in favour of some developing beneficiary countries and/or of non-governmental organisations such as the World Food Programme in Rome, EURONAID in The Hague, UNRWA in Amman and The International Red Cross in Geneva.
