The new office in Savona has been inaugurated. It will serve as a point of reference for the Northern Tyrrhenian

The new branch of Viglienzone Adriatica, a historic company founded a hundred years ago in Genoa (simply as Viglienzone, from the name of the founder) and today based as headquarters in Ravenna, but with offices and branches all over the world, has been inaugurated in Savona.

The Viglienzone group has its historical core business in logistics and inspection services related to commodities (mainly agri-food); the new office in the Ligurian port (which is added to the one in Genoa) will deal with freight forwarding activities and control and inspection of goods, and is part of a development project for north-western Italy that also includes a strengthening of the Genoese presence.

Strategic investments for the Piedmont and Lombardy area, but also more generally for the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea: in terms of commodities management, especially for cereals and natural oils. The logic is to have a single interlocutor for all the main ports of Northern Italy, integrating the Ligurian offices with those already developed and operational in Ravenna and Venice.

The inauguration of the new office was attended by the top management of the Viglienzone Group (CEO Federico Macera, director of the Ravenna office Davide Busani) and the manager of the new Savona branch, Carlo Prostamo.

Founded in Genoa in 1924 by Luigi Silvio Viglienzone for the import of cereals, the company has developed over the course of a century, moving its headquarters from Genoa to Ravenna. Other market segments have been added to the original core business: in particular railway logistics, with the purchase of railway wagons and the use of swap bodies for the transport of cereals and other goods. Today V Group has offices all over the world (Tunisia, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, Argentina, Brazil), around one hundred employees in Italy and a turnover of around 36 million.
